Monday Muses: Empire State of Mind

One song that inspires me is "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. This song talks about New York. It talks about the greatness of New York. Lines like "There's nothing you can't do" and "The lights will inspire you" show how inspirational New York. "These streets will make you feel brand new" shows that New York gives you a fresh start, that's why it is the host to many immigrants from around the world. This song is also about many hopes and dreams. For example, the borough of Manhattan signifies all of the opportunities. All of the tall skyscrapers indicate how the height of your dreams are endless.
